Starting Friday, Ranger Construction Industries Inc. under contract with the City of Vero Beach, will be resurfacing Sailfish Road, city officials said. Construction will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — More than 100 beach users, lifeguards and their families Wednesday night packed the County Commission Chambers in hopes of getting commissioners to overturn County Administrator Joe Baird’s proposal to remove lifeguards from Treasure Shores Park as a $119,000 savings in the new budget.
