Dan Ford and Associates have created landscape designs in and around Vero Beach for over 35 years, and prior to that in the Bahamas. Although the firm name has changed several times, Dan Ford has retained continuity as managing partner and chief designer. Click on a small image to view a larger one
We came to Vero Beach in 1970 at the request of the developer's of John's Island, who asked us for our design assistance for the landscaping and related site planning of the golf clubhouse, beach club and Island House Inn. We subsequently designed many of the oceanfront condominiums and private residences, maintaining the status of this privately owned upscale community. Since our arrival, we have been involved in designing projects in many of the most prestigious developments from Windsor south to the Moorings, as well as Grand Harbor, numerous commercial buildings and other developments in and around Vero Beach and the Indian River County area. Browning Terrace between Dewitt and Cownie lanes in Sebastian will be closed between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday to replace a road-crossing pipe.
Vero Beach's Sailfish Road to be resurfaced 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday
Starting Friday, Ranger Construction Industries Inc. under contract with the City of Vero Beach, will be resurfacing Sailfish Road, city officials said. Construction will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Indian River commissioners vote to remove lifeguards from Treasure Shores Park to save money
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — More than 100 beach users, lifeguards and their families Wednesday night packed the County Commission Chambers in hopes of getting commissioners to overturn County Administrator Joe Baird’s proposal to remove lifeguards from Treasure Shores Park as a $119,000 savings in the new budget.
