While the lettuce in the antipasto salad was fresh..
While the lettuce in the antipasto salad was fresh - the rest was a disappointment. It had very little Italian meats, using more deli ham than anything. The vegetables were vinegary - right out of a jar. Not good. Ours was a take-out order and no napkins, cutlery or even crackers accompanied this expensive salad. Very disappointing.

We had a great lunch. It was a great lunch because #1, they are fast, #2, they have really cool paintings on their walls, and #3, their food is great. We are going back today!

Order your pizza to go and eat at the picnic tables at the park across the street with a view of the ocean. Great pizza and a great view. Alcohol is prohibited in the park, but we often sneak in some wine in a discreet fashion.

Only take cash or check--so come prepared. Off appetizer menu, the bruschetta is wonderful (thick bread soaked in olive oil and spices, doused with large flavorful tomatos and feta cheese). Stromboli good as well. Bruschetta and Stomboli enough to feed two adults. Visited in June, 2005.

What a nice family run place. Atmosphere isn'..
What a nice family run place. Atmosphere isn't anything fancy, but there's nice hand painted italian village murals on the walls. The "Maria pizza" - fresh tomato, basil, garlic, spinach - was excellent. Nino's has beer and wine - we had a carafe of the house white -- inexpensive and nice flavor.
We went back a second time since we enjoyed our first visit so much. Joey suggested the "Joey Pizza" which has pinnapple and ham. When I said not our style and we loved the Maria, he came up with a custom suggestion - eggplant, feta, calamata, and spinach. While it sounds busy it was great - lots of good flavors and the crust stayed thin and crispy.
A hidden gem in Vero Beach.

If you're looking for great pizza at a reason..
If you're looking for great pizza at a reasonable price, try Nino's.
My party of 6 ordered two large pizza's and we still had several slices left over. Which we of course ate for breakfast the next morning!
We had Nino's Special which was loaded with everything. Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, etc. The second pizza was a basic sausage pizza.
In a word the food was awesome.

If you love pizza like we do and we are New Yorker..
If you love pizza like we do and we are New Yorkers who love our pizza, then you will love Nina's. The people are friendly and the flavor explodes in you mouth. And the price is just right.
You won't regret it !

We had read many reviews saying this is the "..
We had read many reviews saying this is the "best pizza in Vero"....the crust is good, thin but still chewy with a crunchy crust, but the sauce is really bland so i wouldn't run to Nino's for pizza but their pasta is great...Husband got marinara and meatballs, i got meat sauce both great. another time we got veal parm, again good. so while the pizza could be better if you asked for some extra spice, it's well worth the trip for the other food.

A great little gem of a restaurant in Vero Beach right at the beachfront and across from a nice park. The pizza was very good along with the salad. The staff are very nice, down to Earth and genuine. We would not hesitate to eat here again for a home cooking style Italian meal.

We loved everything about Nino's. We both ordered pasta (lasagna and ziti with red pepper sauce), and it was great. Served steaming hot, as it should be. Crowded with locals, many of whom told us it was a favorite. Everyone had to wait for a table on Saturday night, but they played fair, and the wait was not too long. Even the head lettuce salad was as good as that type of rather boring salad can be. Informal and good value for money. Lots of pasta and pizza (about half the diners ordered pizza), a couple of veal, chicken and eggplant dishes, but no seafood.

Based on the fact that this is currently ranked as the #1 restaurant in Vero, we decided to give it a try.
We arrived their just after 11:00am because we were going to a Dodger game. Fortunately, it was mostly empty. From what I can gather from the other posts, that's probably a good time to avoid the crowds.
If I've never been to a restaurant, I will frequently go with their signature dish. Based on some of the reviews of the pizza, we ordered the Nino's pizza. The server suggested that we order the large because it was only a dollar more.
The pizza arrived promptly. We were glad that we didn't order the large because the two of us couldn't finish the medium Nino's pizza. I liked the crust (thin, a bit chewy and some sweetness to it). The sauce was also good, but we were surprised that Nino's used canned mushrooms. As you know, there is a big difference between canned mushrooms vs. fresh.
We didn't have time to come back, but if we did, we certainly would have tried their pasta dishes.
A comfortable place that provides excellent service. If we lived in the area, I'm sure it would be a regular hangout for us.
