Who are you and why did you create a business directory for Vero Beach?

My name is Bret Hoskins. I've lived in Vero Beach since 1977. I went to school here, graduated from high school, served in the Marines for four years, and now I work for a local software sales company.

I wanted to create a place where every Vero Beach business owner could get online for FREE.

Why do I have to register and confirm my information? Why can't I just add my business without all of the extra details?

This site is intended for Vero Beach and Indian River County business owners only. I receive inquiries and attempts to sign up companies from around the country and around the world. To maintain the integrity of this directory, I require everyone to provide their contact and business information first.
The confirmation email that you receive serves two purposes:
1) By requiring a person to click on a link in an email, I cut down on 75% of the automated sign-ups (junk) that I receive.
2) When you click on the link in your email, you are telling me that you are who you say you are, and that you intend to add your business to my directory.
